Sifnos have plenty of localities that deserve to be visited by the traveller. Beginning from the Apollonia, visitor deserves to visit the Folklore Museum as well as the Churches of Agios Sostis and Geranioforas. At the afternoon hours a walk at Kastro with the peculiar architecture will be very pleasant combined with a visit in the archaeological museum. On the street from Apollonia to Plati Gialos the visitor can see the Monastery of Vrisi, the Monastery of Panagia Vounou (with magnificent view of Plati Gialos) and Panagia Chrissopigi. At Kamares and at Faros exist remnants of old docks where the minerals were loaded the previous century. Finally for the people who like trekking they can visit the Ancient Citadel of Agios Andreas, the Monastery of Prophet Ilias as well as the old mines at Agios Sostis.

In most small Churches traditional festivals take place at least one time every year with common dinners that remind the ancient dining. They essentially include traditional chick pea soup, meat with spaghetti, salad, wine and traditional music with violin and lute.
